Pack Early - Label Fast
- Start packing the items you don't use
- Label each box - make sure to name the room and put a brief summary of what's in each box
- Buy rubber storage tubs for items you plan on leaving in your garage
About 1 Week Before The Moving Trucks Arrive
- Pack the rest of your items
- It's easier to live out of your suitcase and on fast food
The Day Before You Move
- Do a complete walk-through of your home - check to make sure EVERYTHING is packed and nothing is left behind
- Tape all your drawers closed. It'll speed up the moving process and minimize the possiblity of damage to your furniture
- Disconnect your washer and dryer. Don't forget to turn off the water and gas
- Make sure you've clearly labeled ALL FRAGILE ITEMS
- Unplug all electronics
